Earlier today I was chatting with my writing friend, Graham and the
discussion came around to the subject of inspiration. We were both agreed on
writing being a matter of one per-cent inspiration and ninety-nine per-cent
perspiration. But that one per-cent is crucial to the end product. I liken it
to the match used to set fire to a huge bonfire. The match is so small in
relation to the bonfire, but without it nothing will burn. So it is with that
spark of inspiration that sets a writer on the path of creating another novel.
Without it, there will be no novel.
